When a family in Divide, Colorado set out to rebuild their dream mountain home, Peak DirtWorks was trusted by their local General Contractor to handle the entire site transformation — from the demolition of a 3,000+ square-foot home to the excavation, blasting, utilities, foundation systems and Septic System upgrades that would anchor the new build.
Project Scope & Highlights

• Complete House Demolition
  Our crew safely demolished the existing 3,000+ square-foot structure, clearing the site for new construction.
• Blasting & Excavation
  Working with our trusted blasting contractor, we expanded further into the hillside to create a stable, build-ready site. Our excavation team then prepared the footprint for the new home and its additional features.
• Footings, ICF & Solid Poured Concrete Foundations
  • Excavated, formed, and poured footings for the entire structure.
  • Installed 8" Fox Blocks Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) foundation walls for superior strength and energy efficiency.
  • Constructed a massive 12-inch solid poured concrete wall to support a cold storage room.
  • Built a concrete retaining wall to stabilize surrounding earth.
• Deck & Structural Systems
  Installed reinforced concrete piers for deck supports. Integrated a Vulcraft roof system over the cold storage room, engineered to serve as a durable second-story walkout patio.
• Septic & Utility Upgrades
  Upgraded the Engineered septic system to meet increased capacity requirements by utilizing the existing septic tank, adding a pump tank and installing a new Engineered Leach Field.
  Excavated, trenched, and installed all new utility lines including water/well, electric, and propane.
• Water Storage
  Excavated for and set a new cistern, providing expanded water storage capacity for the property.
• Basement Shop Build
  At the bottom of the property, our crew excavated, poured footings, installed ICF foundation walls, and poured slabs for a brand-new basement shop with side storage area.
